Great for personal use

"I have owned this for about 2 months. It was 25% off (wait for a sale, it's usually on often).

I have made a smoothie for breakfast almost every morning since without any issues. Handles ice and frozen fruits/berries very well.

Blades look in perfect shape still, and the seals are in good shape.

Only a couple of minor issues:
When you put the covers on to transport your drinks (I bring them to work), they seem to leak occasionally.
It's a bit loud, but hey, it's a blender, nothing to do.
Also not good if you're looking to make a big batch of something (duh), so buy accordingly."

Disapointing

"Purchased because reviews were good. Lasted a few months and finally the cheap rubber gears on the chopper top blew apart and then there were no more teeth to catch the gear on the motor portion. The cheap plastic tabs also broke after a few days on the 2 cups with handles. Very cheap design, While it did work it worked well however. Wouldn't recommend unless you only plan on using once a week or so. It may last a year."

"I've had 2 of these over the past few years. At first, they worked great. I made a lot of smoothies in them as I have 4 kids--we made them daily. I didn't really find it useful for much else, because, like a blender it turns stuff to mush and doesn't really chop all that well.

There is a serious design flaw in these units though. The gears in the bottom of the chopper that fit into the base are made from a rubbery plastic, whereas the base is made from hard plastic. Over time, the base chewed up the gear in the bottom of the blade assembly. So it would slip a lot.

The vibrations from the unit sometimes loosened the base to the point where smoothie would leak out all over the place if I didn't stop it 2 or 3 times to tighten.

Eventually, the motor burned out in both of my units. I bought another one once because I thought maybe it was something I did, but the second one was just as bad after awhile no matter how careful I was.

I would recommend you try something else before wasting your money on this. I bought a Ninja Prep System this time and I love it so far. It definitely serves my purposes better and on sale, it was the same price as this one.

I wouldn't recommend this to a friend--at least not someone I liked. :)"

My wife likes Magic!!

"Gave this to my wife so she could make her morning smoothies quicker and quieter. She loves it and uses it all the time. It is much better than our big loud blender and cleans up easier. The only bad thing I could say about it is do not over tighten the lids, they can be really hard to take off."

"If you're looking for a single-serving smoothie maker, this is fantastic. It takes a little longer to get through big chunks of frozen fruit, but can handle them all. And the ease of cleanup, compared to using a full-size blender, is a big plus.

I haven't used it for anything else."

"the best new toy I have had in a while! Love that I can whip up smoothies/shakes for the kids in an instant. I often have trouble getting my 2 year old to eat breakfast & I know he's not getting enough fruit & veggies. Now I just toss some ice, OJ, banana, pineapple, strawberry & blueberries into the bullet & I know he's having a good breakfast....even if it is liquid! My 12 year old loves the bullet as well. She makes a breakfast smoothie most mornings & a nice shake after afterschool. The only thing I wish was different is the accessories....I wish Canadian Tire sold the smaller cup as well as extra mugs & other accessories etc..."

"This product is an excellent purchase, not only is it able to accomplish all the jobs it says it does on TV but it is inexpensive too. Compared to all other food preparation machines the magic bullet surpasses them in all aspects.

This machine is easy to clean thanks to its 2 piece design. Though it is not a full conventional blender this machine is able to do additional jobs. It can chop items into larger pieces if you use the proper approach and it can of course almost liquify any food, if it isn't too hard, in seconds. Adding larger amounts of items will result in larger pieces while beginning with a small amount and adding more oven time will create a more pureed result.

Overall I would recommend this product for someone who only prepares food for one or two people. The portion sizes of this magic bullet are rather small. An excellent price and it comes with an adequate warranty as well."

Makes My Mornings Fast and Easy

"I purchased the Magicbullet 3 months ago. I am a student, so therefore sometimes I have to wake up earlier then the people in my household. I Iike making fruit smoothies in the morning for breakfast. Before the magicbullet, I would make fruit smoothies in a regular blender and I would wake up the whole house. The magicbullet is quiet and quick. I love making smoothies in it. Also, I make omelettes quick in the morning. This product is great if you are making something quick, easy and in small portions. It does not take up much room on the counter! I would recommend this product to all students (Especially students who live in student housing and have a lack of space). This product comes in black or white. Overall this product makes my life easier and everyone in my family uses it. This prodcut also come with a recipe book that gives you a lot of ideas on quick and delicious meals. It is a really good investment to your family, especially if you have a busy and on-going lifestyle."

Can this magic bullet grind coffee bean?

Answer:

I originally bought this device to grind coffee and make smoothies. It was horrible at grinding coffee producing a very uneven grind. It was immediately returned. If you want to grind coffee get a coffee grinder for $15.

I've not tried coffee beans in it. I don't imagine it would grind them well. Perhaps if you had the smaller cup sized container. Coffee grinders are cheap though and they work so well, why would you try?

Yes, single shot + only comes in black. The original magic bullet is better and comes in silver.

Answer:

Yes - the company had a 'Platinum' version for a brief time (metallic silver) but that was discontinued over a year ago now. The company only makes the base in the black colour. If you find another colour, it's an imitation.

Do you still need a copy? Is your Bullet still in use? Mine died, I bought a second, it died too. So I likely have a couple of manuals kicking around. I don't have them on my computer however. If you'd like I'd consider snail mailing you one.
