"I am a stickler for a clean house and LOVED all of the on-board tools, making it very easy to do a thorough cleaning job on every part of my apartment. In one round I was able to clean floors, furniture and baseboards, and switching tools was a breeze! I used the lowest roller setting on my hardwood floors and the highest setting and both types of surfaces were cleaned great. (I didn't experience any of the issues with carpets that other reviewers have mentioned).

I am very impressed with the cleaning power of this vacuum! (I have a cat that sheds excessively and I was able to clean all of the hair off of his favourite lounging spot! Anyone with a cat can appreciate this!)

The only minor downsides I've come across is that a bit of blowing dust (re: not an excessive amount) sticks to the outside of the vacuum as you clean. The vacuum is also on the loud side, but I figure this is a trade-off for all that suction power! However, these minor inconveniences are overshadowed by the great cleaning power and easy accessibility of this product!

I have already recommended this vacuum to many of my friends and am definitely pleased that I decided to purchase this model after reading a bunch of reviews online."

Destroys Carpets!!!

"This thing will literally EAT carpets!!! Even with the brush setting to its highest point (carpet setting) it will catch and pull entire rows of carpet thread!!

Not impressed...stuck using it for bare floors only.

Do not buy if you have carpets."

"This product worked great for the first year. After the warranty was up a bearing in the brush went making it useless. A waste of money if it only lasts for a year before having to replace it."

Love It!!

"Ive had the same old tired Hoover Encore vacuum for about 7 years give or take and after deciding to retire it i did some research and decided to buy this vacuum.

I took it home and set it up without any issues (maybe took about 15 minutes tops) and proceeded to vacuum my entry way which was just done on Friday by the other vacuum.. imagine my shock to see just under a quarter of the dust collector filled with dirt etc the Hoover left behind! Now skeptics would say ive had the machine less then 24 hours but in all honesty i am so impressed by the ease of assembly and the remarkable cleaning job that i felt confident in leaving a positive review. I highly recommend this product to anyone!"

"I have had this vacuum for a few months and it has been great for my condo. I use it on both laminate and carpet. The only complaint is that it is a little too loud on laminate."

Don't do it!

"It is the messiest vacuum I have ever had. The worst design possible. sure it is bag less, but several filters need frequent cleaning for optimum performance. The vacuum powered hand brush is a great idea, works great, but when it slows down it means a major cleaning of filters. They are all washable, but makes a mess doing so. If you do not dry them completely there is a gawd awful stench in the air after ward like, sorry, for lack of better words, a sick stomach.
PLEASE bring bag a vacuum with a BAG!! PLEASE. Simple and they WORK!
Seriously, who is writing the good reviews of this product?"

If you have pets you NEED this unit

"We have 4 cats and 2 ferrets... Even an occasional foster dog. The cats are long hair to short. This unit gets EVERYTHING. Even the "power" hand tool does an amazing job on chairs, sofas, the kitty climbing/scratching furniture. Makes old beaten down carpets look new again.
Tools are standard, but the power tool works great... It's a bit noisy because it uses suction to power the brushes and might freak-out your pets a bit.
Found the power head (The main vacuum head) part of the unit did not clog up with hair at all and had ample power to really dig up dirt.
Suction is not the greatest, but more than ample for most situations.
The filter part (inside) does get to be a bit of a pain sometimes, but once you get used to it, you'll appreciate the job it does. Thankfully, all the dirt catching filters and containers are easily washable.
Personally, I didn't find it heavy at all. Rolls around easy enough.
A cool hint:
Cut up a Bounce dryer sheet into small rectangles and pop one into the outgoing hepa filter on the side of the machine... Your room will smell great every time you vacuum.."

A god send!

"This vacuum is a god-send. I love it and am amazed by it every time I use it. I have a dog that sheds constantly and 2 teenagers who leave crumbs, etc behind and this vacuum has impressed me to the point where I recommend it to friends and use it every second day because of it's abilities.
One downfall? I guess it would be the weight of it...is a tad heavy to lift but overall an excellent investment and well worth the money."

sadly, nothing but trouble

"I bought this after a positive review from Consumer Reports, and at first it was great and if I had reviewed it soon as I bought it I would have given it a positive review.
Unfortunately, I've had a ton of trouble with it. I've had to disassemble it completely many times to unclog it - the places it clogs are not the ones they make easily accessible.
It is always losing suction, and is pretty much useless unless I disassemble it every time. The mini brush accessory is useless.
The plastic part that holds the rotating brush just wore out and it's not a part that they've decided to make replaceable - though it totally could be - so it's now a piece of junk.

Question:

Hi, where to buy the filter cartridge, mine was bought less than a year, but after recent wash, it become very stinky upon use. Where can I get the filter and what is the model number? can I buy a generic one?

How well/easy does this vacuum clean stairs?

Answer:

The vacuum itself is a bit too wide to use on most stairs, however the on-board tools do the job well, if you don't mind carrying the actual vacuum along with you, every 3-4 stairs, once you've surpassed the reach of the extension arm.

Good, if the filters are clean, but the hose is a bit short to do a half story flight of stairs, so would not work very well at all on a full story flight of stairs.

Depends on how soiled or how much hair you have in your place. I clean/empty after each use, but filters get washed every 3-4 uses.

It depends how often you use it. I would do it once a month but it's so easy, it's a breeze. I have not purchased a new filter in 3 years because I clean the one I have and I throw away all the dust. The design makes it perfect for easy cleaning.
