"You can always tell how clean a floor is by the bottoms of the kids white socks. And with this mop the proof is in the pudding. Clean socks!! My floors have never been so clean. Triangle pad is perfect for bathrooms and the large is great for large livingrooms or kitchens. My whole house (1400 sqft downstairs, plus 1 powder and 2 bathrooms upstairs), takes at most 30 minutes start to finish, and that includes moving furniture."

Pretty darn good mop

"We've had the mop less than a month, yet have used it pretty much daily. It's a solid built mop that is easy to use and generates plently of steam to clean floors with. The mop cover stays put, and clearly shows how much dirt has been collected. The cord is plenty long for our entire main floor (about 1200 sq ft).

It does leave a bit of streakiness, I'm not sure if it's residue from previous floor cleaning produts or what, but our floors are fairly light, so as long as we mop with the wood grain and dry them before walking, it dries pretty clean. It is not fast at removing dried on food stains, but will get it done in a few determinted passes.

The best thing about it is that so far we've mopped far more frequently than before and that alone is worth the price. It's a fun mop to use, and I'm hoping that it lasts."

Best thing I ever bought.

"I have M.S. with a difficult kitchen floor to mop. Since purchasing this product, I have been able to clean my floors while talking on a portable telephone as it takes NO effort whatsoever! I was truly amazed and normally would never write a review for a product unless it did more than I thought it would - or was a complete dud. As for the woman who said her wrist hurt because she pumped it up and down, seriously, with M.S. and barely able to move properly I sincerly had no difficulty at all."

Not a good mop for those with arthritic hands

"When I purchased this 2 yrs. ago (it no longer works) I didn't realize I had to pump it to get steam out. It was very hard on my wrists. So beware those who no longer have strong wrists or hands. When it was working it did the job, however,
I must look for a lighter version."

"I had purchased another brand of steam mop because I like the concept of chemical free steam cleaning. I returned it the next day. The mop left the floors so wet that you had to dry them and the cleaning pad came off several times during use (which provided an opportunity to wring it out!).

I was skeptical about making this purchase based on my experience with the first one, however I was pleasantly surprised. None of the above are issues with this mop. It is easy to use, produces enough steam to get the floors really clean and not wet. My floors were left streak free and dry. I also like the cord guides that keep the cord up and out of the way during use. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase."

"Not bad at all. I was a bit iffy about the efficacy of a steam mop but I must say I was quite surprised. It did a very good job without all the chemicals, water, bucket, et al. Easy to operate and works very well in cleaning the floors without leaving water on the floor. It left the house looking very nice and clean. Did not damage the hard wood floors at all. I am quite satisfied with my purchase. Another excellent product from Shark!!!"

Great Little Cleaner

"I am pleased with my steam mop. With a little one playing on the kitchen floor I want it to be clean and free of germs. The steam mop does the job. It is easy to use and very ligth weight. The cord is long enough to do the entire floor without switching outlets."

Very disappointed

"I had read all the reviews on this product and was very excited when I bought it but I have used it 4 times and get more disappointed with each use. The pads get wet very quickly and thus leave streaks on the foors. The streaks are very visable on our hardwood and tile. I had a cheap model before and it work great until it broke after 2 years. I wish I had bought another one of those instead of this one. My floors are clean but don't look good because of the streaks."

"As much I didn't like the Shark Portable Steam Cleaner, I love this this steam mop. How ingenious. It works and it works well.

I was using a magic mop and liked it.
It kind of works the same of course with exceptions. It's a lot easier. One fill of water and it does most of my down stairs. I have all laminate flooring. Great idea of the mop head on the swivel and flips over to clean on the other side. Like having two mops in one. Never have to change the mop pads until the end of the job. (depends on how dirty your floors are of course) Every time you push the mop forward to clean the steam come out and no steam on the way back.

I used to use a spray bottle of water with my old magic mop and then having to wash it out a couple of times through the floor cleaning. No more with this steam mop.
Yes there are some streaks but found if you go with the way the floor is laid this eliminates most of it. it was the same as the other mop for streaks.

The cord is long so you can reach most of the areas without having to replug.

It's light, it's easy to use, it's comfortable and it works!!"

Answer:

It's not a vacuum it's a steam mop and being bamboo I would think it would not ruin bamboo flooring but of course you should always test in a small area before trying it. Just In Case

I really wouldn't use it on your bamboo floor. If your really wanting to steam clean it then call the company that makes the floor and see what they say.
