"This Dirt Devil worked well for us....it's not a super duper 50-million-dollar vacuum, but it does pick up dirt well and it does does perform as described. My mother has had hers for a couple of years, and it's still going strong."

Why Is Canadian Tire Still Selling These?

"It's obvious from previous reviews that there are some serious problems with the power head not working -- mine lasted all of 6 weeks before dying! Two other problems with my vacuum were that the full bag indicator did not work and the pet hair attachment did not have a slot to attach onto the hose as all the other attachments did (it fell off repeatedly and was useless). Overall, a really poor design for a "pet hair" vacuum.

Upon return, the customer service rep. at Canadian Tire did not blink when I told her the problem -- she had apparently taken back a LOT of these Dirt Devil Jaguars and gave me a full credit toward another brand of vacuum with no problem (she did not even suggest I exchange it for another Dirt Devil).

Even at half-price these things are no bargain. Surely Canadian Tire must realize there is a problem with them."

NOT A GOOD PRODUCT - DO NOT BUY!

"I would not recommend purchasing this vacuum. It works fine for 6 months, then the power head dies. The swivel cord that connects the power head to the canister gets wound up and ends up coming loose. Also, it really is a nuisance to switch from the power head to the floor brush. Replacement bags are also hard to find."

"I got it on for half price which is a great deal and I have to say that it did work awesome for the first 6 months but now the power nozzel does not work anymore. From reading other reviews this seems to be the case for others as well."

Good and Bad

"I have to say that I agree and disagree, the vacuum for the price is great, never a real issue, except the plug in the front to the base, why you would take apart and put together over and over not sure. The bags however are a different story, I have been looking for the past couple of months, thank goodness I hord things, been in more CT stores then I care to mention and none in any....search continures."

"I purchased this vacuum in March '07 and three years later, it's still going strong. Best thing ever for getting cat fur off my area rug. And, as for the bags, my local Canadian Tire store carries them. I would buy this again without hesitation!"

terrible purchase

"I would not recommend this vacuum cleaner. It takes longer to put it together than it takes to vacuum. In order to put the cords back in their place you have to try to fit it in a hole and it is very dark and very hard to fit. The bags are hard to find and extremely small therefore must be replaced often. I have owned 4 vacuum cleaners in the past and have never had a hard time putting it together or taking it apart to use different attachments. This one however is a real pain. I read bad reviews before I purchased it and bought it not believing the reviews and the price is fantastic but it is a waste of money."

The Worst Vaccum EVER!!!!

"I recieved this product as a gift last christmas. I used it for a month or so and it worked great. When I went to go get more bags there was none available it took months of searching for me to finally find the vaccum bags in july. ( I had been looking for them since febuary. Now that I got my new bags I went to use it. first couple times worked great. but now I have to use the hose to pick up everything. the other part will not worked.. at first we thought it was clogged... but its not... we are very dissapointed...."

I owned one and it is horrible the cord is ver short
i found the hose kinks and cracks very easy
the bags tend to split open
